Tiny Tigers – What to expect
Peak to Peak Martial Arts’ Tiny Tiger program offers a fun, safe and exciting way for preschool aged children to develop motor skills and listening abilities that will easily be applied, with confidence, to other activities that they experience later. Naturally, the developmental goals for this age group are different than for older children; however, understanding the differences between the two groups will assist in further student development should this type of training prove to be a good fit for your child.
Differences Between Peak to Peak’s Tiny Tiger and Youth Programs
The Tiny Tiger program is different from the regular youth programs in a few ways. First, the classes are shorter by 15 minutes, as this allows for the Tiny Tigers to optimize their energy and focus levels in ways that allow for expectations to be successfully managed. Please note that to be successful the students must attend classes twice a week on their scheduled days.
Second, the goal with this age group is to encourage the growth mindset via coordination and teamwork exercises; therefore, the testing and ranking requirements are different. Even though the ranking and testing requirements are different, they are easily transferred into the youth program should the student elect to graduate into the later stages of martial arts training.
Where to go From Here
Our very own instructor, Kaylee, started when she was four years old, and now she leads classes all the way up to the adults. Additionally, many of our top performing youth level students graduated up from the Tiny Tiger program. They learned the fundamentals and understood what values and character traits were needed to succeed at the higher levels. So, schedule a free introductory lesson today:
